Strict adherence to the current requirements is necessary for consideration.
Grant Submission Process
The process for applicants requesting grants-in-aid is done in three phases:
- Letter of Intent - LOI
All applicants will submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) as part of the initial review process. See Appendix A for details on the requirements for the LOI submission. All applicants will be notified of the results of the initial review.
- Full Application - FA
Applicants who pass the initial review process will be requested to submit a Full Application (FA). See Appendix B for details on the Full Application requirements.
The Full Application will be reviewed and grants-in-aid will be selected and awarded based on acceptable project criteria, merit, implementation capability, funding availability and expected outcomes impact on North Carolina. Final decisions on the grant awards will be made by the License to Give Trust Fund Commission.
All applicants submitting a Full Application will be notified of their approval or disapproval.

Organizations awarded a grant-in-aid will be notified and appropriate documents sent for their signature. Grant-in-aid funds will be released once the documents are returned and are in order.
