In 2023

• More than 758 North Carolinians gave the gift of life through organ donation.

As of Dec. 31, 2023

• Over 5,531,377 North Carolinians have an organ donor designation heart on their drivers' license or ID card.

In 2023

• 1,539 North Carolinians received a lifesaving transplant. Sadly, 170 North Carolinians on the transplant waiting list died due to the shortage of donated organs.

• 23,286 citizens gave the gift of life through organ donation. 46,630  citizens received a lifesaving transplant. Sadly, 5,224 citizens on the transplant waiting list died due to the shortage of donated organs.
