Federal Surplus Property
Federal Surplus Property procures and distributes surplus federal property fairly and equitably for the benefit of North Carolina's citizens. Federal Surplus Property can only be acquired by tax supported and nonprofit, educational and health agencies, public agencies, or providers of assistance to the homeless and impoverished.
Announcements
- Federal Surplus operates 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Surplus Property will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday November 29 in observance of the state holiday for Thanksgiving.

- Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs): Federal Surplus is now accepting applications for the Veterans Small Business Enhancement Act. This act allows certain veteran-owned small businesses, through the Small Business Association, to access federally owned surplus property. Once your business is certified with the SBA, contact us to find out if your VOSB is eligible for Federal Surplus.
