As a sign of respect for the sacrifices of our armed services personnel, Governor Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff on Monday, May 28 until 12 noon in honor of Memorial Day.

Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities to remain lowered to half-staff until sunset on May 25, 2018 in honor of Surry County State Highway Patrol Trooper Samuel Newton Bullard who died in the line of duty on Monday.
