As a sign of respect for the sacrifices of our armed services personnel, Governor Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff on Monday, May 27 until 12 noon in honor of Memorial Day. North Carolinians and local governments are encouraged to display flags at half-staff as well.
Governor Cooper shared the following statement:
“I join all North Carolinians in sharing gratitude for those who served and died for our country. Today we honor them with the flag to express our deepest appreciation for their sacrifice and that of their families.”
