Flag Alert: Lowering of United States and North Carolina Flags in Tribute to Soldier Killed

Re: Lowering of United States and North Carolina Flags in Tribute to Soldier Killed

Governor Roy Cooper today ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered immediately to half-staff in tribute to Alexander Dalida of Dunstable, Massachusetts.

Dalida was killed Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at Fort Bragg. He was assigned to 1st Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne) and was at Fort Bragg with the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.

Flags should remain at half-staff until sunset on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017.
