Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to remain lowered to half-staff through sunset July 10, 2022 in memory of Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, who was assassinated while giving a speech on Friday.

In tribute to the sacrifices of our armed services personnel, Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff on Monday, May 30 until 12 noon in honor of Memorial Day.
