Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

Commission of Indian Affairs logo

In 1976, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) designated the North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs as a Public Housing Agency. This designation gave the commission authority to provide rent assistance through the operation of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.

Our goal is to provide safe and sanitary locations through rental assistance to our eligible participants.

Our funding is provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
